Bring your containers. Receive the scheme refund.
Crystal Ailan operates a Containers for Change refund point on Badu. Eligible drink containers earn 10 cents each under the Queensland scheme. More than $20,000 had been returned to the Badu community when the result was publicly reported in August 2023.
Public reporting from the operation's first month described weekly volume increasing from roughly one hundred containers to more than one thousand. Current volumes should be confirmed with Crystal Ailan.

Check container eligibility with the depot or the Queensland Containers for Change website before bringing your load. Ask the team how to prepare and sort it.

Get your refund
Eligible containers receive the scheme's 10-cent refund. Contact the depot before visiting to confirm current payment and donation options.
